Terms of Service

Last updated 17 September 2026

These terms govern use of Agent Legend, provided by Agent Legend Ltd (company number 17464557), registered in England and Wales at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. By using the service you agree to them.

What Agent Legend is — and is not

Agent Legend is front-desk and coordination software for estate agencies. It answers enquiries, books viewings, records offers word for word, coordinates repairs and pages the agency’s own on-call staff. Where the agency also uses SalesRelay, a sale marked as agreed is handed over to it for progression.

Agent Legend is not an estate agent, solicitor, licensed conveyancer, mortgage broker or financial adviser. It does not provide legal, financial or professional advice, does not verify the truth of what enquirers or participants tell it, and must not be relied on as a substitute for professional advice or your own professional judgement.

Agent Legend is not an emergency service. Where a repair report indicates danger it gives the caller the relevant emergency number first — 999, or the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 — and pages your rota, but responsibility for responding to emergencies, and for meeting repairing obligations, remains with the agency and the landlord.

Statuses, priorities and summaries are derived from what people have reported. They are indications, not commitments.

Your account

  • You must give accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for your users’ conduct.
  • You must have the authority to enter the data you upload, and a lawful basis for sharing the contact details of applicants, vendors, tenants and staff with us.
  • You must only add someone to the out-of-hours rota with their agreement — the product will text and telephone them, including at night.
  • You must tell the people AL deals with that your front desk is operated using Agent Legend. AL will always say it is software when asked, and identifies itself as an assistant on every tenant-facing page.

Out-of-hours cover

The out-of-hours feature wakes your own staff; it does not supply staff. Cover depends on your rota being current, the paging channel being configured and cover being switched on — and the product shows you, honestly, whether all three are true at any moment. A screen that says “Not covered” means exactly that. We are not responsible for an emergency going unanswered because the rota was empty, the numbers were wrong, or cover was switched off.

Acceptable use

You may not use Agent Legend unlawfully, to harass anyone, to send unsolicited marketing, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other agencies’ data, to reverse engineer the service, or to resell it without a written agreement. Full detail is on the acceptable use page.

Fees and payment

Subscription feesCharged monthly per branch, in advance, at the published price for your band. Non-refundable for the period already started.
Changes to pricingWe will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price change affecting an existing subscription.
Late paymentWe may suspend the service if fees are more than 14 days overdue, after notifying you.
VATNo VAT is charged. The published price for your band is the total payable.

Your data

You retain all rights in the data you put into Agent Legend. We process it as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement.

We may use aggregated, anonymised statistics — for example median response times to enquiries — to improve the product and to publish industry benchmarks. Anonymised means it cannot identify you, your clients, a property or a transaction.

On termination you may export your data. We will delete or return it in line with the DPA.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not currently offer a contractual uptime SLA. Planned maintenance will be notified where practical. Enterprise agreements can include an SLA.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of commission, loss of a transaction, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss.

In particular, we are not liable for a sale falling through, for delay caused by a third party, for the accuracy of information an enquirer or participant provides, or for a landlord’s or agency’s failure to meet its own repairing obligations.

Termination

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate for material breach, unlawful use, or non-payment, giving notice and an opportunity to fix the problem where it is capable of being fixed.

General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes.
